GBG Soda was founded in Gothenburg in 2015 by beer brewer Simon Svensson, who missed tasty non-alcoholic alternatives with less sweetness and more character. What started as an experiment to create something more fun to serve to those abstaining from alcohol became the launch of his own beverage brand.

When he began experimenting with non-alcoholic drinks, the goal was clear – to create something that could be just as interesting an alternative as beer or other adult beverages.

GBG Soda has continued to challenge the perception of what non-alcoholic drinks and sodas can be. With unexpected flavor combinations, balanced sweetness, and often a twist of acidity, bitterness, or heat, they create beverages with personality and character. Today, the range includes Craft Soda, Blask, tonic, and mocktails, with flavors ranging from Swedish ingredients like spruce shoots, birch leaves, and reindeer lichen to more unexpected combinations.
